| Dave has placed his
rifle securely in the mount. It is held out from the
frame and lashing hooks by 1" aluminum spacers.
A leather strap snaps around the upper stock and the butt
of the gun sits in an aluminum pocket with a wide leather
strap which also snaps tight. The mount is powder
coated the same as your frame and stainless steel bolts
are provided to secure the mount. You will
need to drill three 1/4" holes through the frame to
attach the rifle mount. One will be about an inch
down from the top. Then two will need to be drilled
at the lower curve. To attach: Bolt the
upper mount to the frame and snap the leather strap
around your rifle.. When you
set the butt of your gun in the lower pocket, you can
adjust its placement before you tighten the nuts to secure
the lower mount. As you
can see your rifle is accessible, but you can still pack
hands free. Price is $49. The mount was designed
and is produced by Mike Jacobsen in Salem, Oregon.
Mike is working on a mount for your bow. He says it
should be ready in the spring. |
